Rationale:

  • Michael Beasley is the ultimate boom-or-bust prospect in FanDuel NBA tournament play. The erratic scoring production from Beasley this season has resulted in an average of 12.6 points per game, as he has totaled 16 games with 20 or more points and 26 contests with nine or fewer. Beasley carried the New York Knicks to a victory Monday night with extreme efficiency, as he totaled 17 points on just 10 shot attempts. FanDuel NBA lineups should consider adding Beasley since his shot is falling. In each of his past five games, he has converted at least 50 percent of his attempts from the field.
  • The Memphis Grizzlies have desperately needed the offensive spark provided by rookie Dillon Brooks over the past eight games. The lowest-scoring team in the league has received 19.4 points per game from the 22-year-old forward, as Brooks has converted 45.5 percent of his attempts from the field and 43.2 percent shooting from 3-point range during the eight-game stretch.
