The NBA Rookie of the Year race is beginning to heat up as the playoff push begins. The month of March brings its own madness to the hardwood and the rookies have looked prepared.
The return of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball couldn’t have come at a better time. Ball looks a lot more comfortable on the floor and it’s shown in his recent numbers.
Elsewhere, the Memphis Grizzlies may be on a losing streak, but rookie Dillon Brooks has upped his play, finding his way back into the top 10. The Grizzlies don’t have to worry about making a playoff push given their record, but at least Brooks’ play has been one good sign.
The signs have also been good to Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell, who seems to be closing the Rookie of the Year gap by the game. The Jazz are streaking again and Mitchell’s play on both ends has something to do with it.
