Overachiever: Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors seem to have turned a corner in the Eastern Conference this season. They have the East’s best record currently at 52-17 and have already clinched a playoff spot.

The Raptors have posted an 18-2 record in the past two months and are currently undefeated in March at 9-0. Head coach Dwane Casey seems to have found the secret formula of late and it’s got his team playing at a high level.

A few notable wins this month include the Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards. They also beat the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night to end their three-game winning streak. That win moved the Raptors to 12-7 against opponents in the top eight spots in the conference standings this season.

Making the playoffs hasn’t been a problem lately for Toronto. It’s getting to the NBA Finals and being taken seriously as a contender that’s the issue. It will be interesting to see if DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry can lead the charge.
