Conclusion

The top two seeds in the Eastern Conference are nearly set. The Toronto Raptors are currently in first and five games ahead of the Celtics. Considering they’ve won 11 games in a row, it’s hard to foresee a collapse in the cards for them. They should finish up at No. 1 in the East.

Boston is 47-22, second in the East. They are the only other team, along with the Raptors, to have clinched a spot in the playoffs already. With a seven-game lead over the Pacers for the second spot, it’s hard once again to see the Celtics falling below them.

The shuffle below the Celtics and Raptors will be very interesting in the coming weeks. With only a handful of games left, playoff teams will need to be focused if they hope to put themselves in a good position for a title run.

The fans don’t call it a playoff race for no reason, but this mess in the East will be one to watch closely as the season begins to come to a conclusion.
