12 games: Feb. 17 to Mar. 8, 2002

We now enter rarified air, as the Blazers have only accomplished the final three streaks only once.

The 2001-02 Trail Blazers were a mess of a team. They were mired by bad chemistry on the court and legal issues off it. This was the first season under new head coach Maurice Cheeks. It was also the first without veterans Steve Smith (traded to San Antonio) and Arvydas Sabonis (left the team). In their place, the team brought in Derek Anderson and the controversial Ruben Patterson. This eventually led to middling play on the court.

Portland was 26-24 before the streak. They averaged 96.3 points per game while allowing 94.3. However, a 111-105 win over the defending champion Lakers kickstarted a 12-game winning streak.

The scores remained low, with the Blazers still averaging 94.8 points per game. However, the defense improved, holding teams to 87.6 points per game during the streak. Rasheed Wallace led the team with 21.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

Unfortunately, the streak was only a peak in a season full of valleys. Portland finished the year 11-9 to complete a 49-33 campaign. They faced the Lakers in the first round and were unceremoniously swept, 3-0.
