Chicago Bulls: 5 players to watch in 2018 NCAA Tournament
3. Mike Daum, South Dakota State
I know what you may be thinking: “Another guy at the 4-spot,” right? However, there are a few reasons why I was willing to include him on this list.

Let’s start with the basics. At 6’9″ and 250 pounds, Daum is matchup problem for most opposing players. He plays well around the rim and is considered a prolific scorer. His averages include 23.8 points (sixth-leading scorer in the nation) and 10.4 rebounds per contest. On top of that, he converted 42.1 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.
To put this feat into its proper perspective, Kevin Durant is the only other collegiate player to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds per contest while shooting at least 40 percent from long range.
Due to his size, Daum is able to play effectively through contact and draws over six fouls per 40 minutes. He is shooting 86.3 percent from the charity stripe.
No, he won’t get you a ton of steals (0.5 per contest) or blocks (0.7 per game), but he certainly has the potential to be a stretch-big at the next level.
Again, this is not a position of need for the Bulls at this time, but depending on what changes they make in the frontcourt during the offseason – if any – Daum could be an intriguing option.
