4. Jaren Jackson Jr., Michigan State University

Compared to some of the players that will be discussed, Jaren Jackson Jr. is a player who has flown under the radar for the most part. For instance, he is just the fifth-leading scorer for the Spartans, averaging 11.3 points per contest.

As you would expect, the Spartans big man doesn’t have a featured role within the offense as he attempts just 6.8 shots per contest. However, at 6’11”, Jackson is more than a decent rim protector as he ranked fifth in the nation with 3.2 blocked shots per contest.

He generally plays with a high motor and runs the floor very well. Another plus about Jackson is he converted 39.6 percent of his attempts from 3-point range, which puts in the company of former NBA All-Star Chris Bosh or Serge Ibaka as big men who can be effective around the rim as well as the perimeter.

One of the few knocks on Jackson is that he lacks a post-up game and doesn’t handle double-teams particularly well. With the proper development, though, these are both easy fixes.
