Damian Lillard is the Western Conference Player of the Week

It was announced on Monday afternoon that Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for March 5-11.

Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers played three games this past week and went undefeated to keep their league-high winning streak at nine. For the second time this season, Lillard was named the Western Conference Player of the Week.

His three games came against the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.

For the three games, Lillard averaged 34.7 points (leading the NBA this week), 5.0 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game, shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 56.3 percent from the 3-point line.

During these three games, Lillard gained plenty of national attention and people around the NBA are starting to take notice of what Lillard and the Trail Blazers are doing this season.
