1. Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards have been on the cusp of greatness for some time now. They have the talent to be a potential Eastern Conference champion, but they’ve never seemed to peak at the right time, always falling short in the biggest moments.

John Wall and Bradley Beal form one of the best backcourts in the league, capable of carrying the Wizards to victories by themselves, but the rest of the roster has its question marks.

There are times when Otto Porter Jr. looks like a capable third option for Washington, and others that make his $106.5 million contract look laughable.

Marcin Gortat can be a presence inside, but at 34 years of age, he doesn’t provide the Wizards with a lot of mobility.

Jordan would give Wall a more dynamic pick-and-roll option, a play he runs religiously, while giving them a more mobile and athletic pick-and-roll defender and rim protector.

The Wizards don’t need more scoring options. They need guys who can do the less glamorous things needed to win a basketball game.

Washington has the potential to be a great team, but it needs that little extra something to put itself over the top. It might benefit the Wizards to find out if Jordan is the missing link to their championship aspirations.
