Kevin Durant ($8,900)

The biggest reason for picking Kevin Durant as a building block for your DraftKings daily fantasy team is that Stephen Curry is out tonight against the Trail Blazers.

When Curry was out earlier in the year, we saw a version of Kevin Durant unlike anything else. His first game leading the team he dropped a triple-double with ease. Durant most likely loves playing with a guy like Curry, but he might equally enjoy being the man on a team as well.

The Golden State Warriors are coming off of a back-to-back game that went down to the wire Thursday night, but that shouldn’t deter KD from getting his numbers. Durant is a guy who will always find his scoring numbers regardless of the night. The biggest thing to watch out for his how his assist and defense numbers rise now that Curry is out.

We’ve also been fortunate enough to see some amazing Blazers-Warriors matchups before. If Damian Lillard decides to turn this into a shootout, Kevin Durant won’t sit down and play dead. The perfect example of this is when they played the San Antonio Spurs last and he scored 15 points on six shots to clinch a big win. Portland needs this win, so we might be in for a couple of amazing performances tonight.
