1. LeBron James, SF, Cleveland Cavaliers

I mean, was there really any other option as the Bulls’ top dream target?

LeBron James is set to hit free agency again this offseason, opening the door for The Decision 3.0 to occur. The general consensus is that the Cleveland Cavaliers, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers could all be in the mix, but there’s been no mention of the Chicago Bulls.

Despite that, we have to remember that only so many teams have the cap space to sign James. As it so happens, the Bulls are more than capable of making the room to ink the King. The bigger problem is figuring how to convince him that the next step in his legacy should be resurrecting the Bulls franchise.

Like I mentioned with Durant, the Bulls can pitch LeBron on being the second coming of MJ in Chicago. I know James is his own player who has his own argument as the greatest NBA player of all time, but he may see the opportunity to walk in Jordan’s shoes as the final chapter before he hangs up his own for good.

Would Jordan give James permission to wear his Bulls No. 23 jersey? Would LeBron go back to the No. 6 he wore with the Miami Heat? Or maybe he’d pick a whole new number to mark his third team in the NBA. Either way, signing LBJ would be a dream come true for this franchise in flux.
