March 14 @ Boston Celtics

The Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics are building a rivalry of their own in the East and it’s getting to be rather entertaining, to say the least.

The two teams’ last meeting on Feb. 8 went to overtime, with Boston taking it 110-104 in the end, but it wasn’t a bad display for Washington with John Wall out of the lineup. The season series is currently tied 1-1, with the final meeting coming on April 10.

The biggest key in this game will be stopping Kyrie Irving, or at least slowing him down. Tomas Satoransky has done his fair share on defense to slow down opposing teams’ point guards. Kyrie Irving is a different beast in his own right, however. Irving went for 28 points on 9-of-19 shooting in their February game.

The Wizards ran out of gas in that meeting, getting outscored by the Celtics in overtime 12-6. It will be tough for them to get a victory coming off a game the night before, though. They were 0-3 in back-to-back games in February.
