Overachiever: Julius Randle, Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have won their last three games since the All-Star Break.  As far as streaks goes, they can thank big man Julius Randle for their recent success.

In his last three games, Randle has recorded two double-doubles and a triple-double. He’s averaging 16.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game in the previous three contests. Randle is also shooting 59 percent from the floor.

Randle put up 18 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in the Lakers’ first game back from the All-Star Break on Friday. They Lakers won easily over the Dallas Mavericks, 124-102. He nearly recorded a triple-double the next night against Sacramento Kings as well. Randle had 12 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in a 113-108 victory on Saturday.

He’s been a new player since the break and it’s shown in Los Angeles’ recent results. He recorded his first triple-double of the season, a good sign for a young squad looking for their identity. We’ll see if he can continue to play well and push the Lakers closer to a playoff position.
