Rationale:

  • Blake Griffin has relished his role as the primary ball-handler for the Detroit Pistons. The five-time All-Star is dishing out an average of 5.6 assists per game, just a tick above point guard Reggie Jackson for the team lead. For Griffin to balance out his impact for FanDuel NBA rosters, he will need to limit his turnovers. In each of his past three games, Griffin has turned the ball over at least five times, totaling 17 turnovers against 13 assists.
  • John Henson shook off any concerns about his hamstring injury lingering Friday night, as he totaled 12 points and eight rebounds in just under 35 minutes against the Toronto Raptors. The stat line produced a total of 18.6 fantasy points, a figure that could significantly increase if Henson manages to block some shots Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans. During his lone appearance against New Orleans this season, Henson managed 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks. With an average of 1.4 blocks per game, Henson is on pace for his fourth season with at least 100 rejections, a feat only Alton Lister and Harvey Catchings have managed in franchise history.
