Rationale:

  • The list of players averaging at least 20 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game is littered with some of the most recognizable names in the NBA. Among the 11 players to accomplish the feat this year, Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton was the only omission from the All-Star Game. Middleton has become one of the most consistent scoring threats in the game, pouring in 20 or more points 33 times in 58 games this season.
  • Jordan Clarkson has quickly adjusted to his new team. Since joining the Cleveland Cavaliers at the NBA trade deadline, Clarkson has averaged 13.5 points on 53.7 percent shooting from the field to go along with 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. In just four games, the signature celebration from Clarkson after he connects from 3-point range has become a favorite on the team, and Cleveland will need him to convert against the San Antonio Spurs, one of the top perimeter defenses in the league.
