Rationale:

  • The last four games have confirmed Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker as an All-Star. While there was some debate whether Walker or Ben Simmons should replace the injured Kristaps Porzingis last week at the league’s signature event, a torrid stretch from Walker has squashed any argument. The 27-year-old has averaged 24.5 points, 6.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals during the four-game run, propelling Charlotte to three consecutive victories.
  • In his fourth game with the Cleveland Cavaliers, point guard George Hill finally found his scoring touch. After totaling just 25 points in his first three games with the team, Hill poured in 18 points during a victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. While the FanDuel NBA value of Hill has slightly diminished, since LeBron James is the primary facilitator for the Cavaliers, his ability to score off the ball may offset the drop-off in assists.
