Top 4 Small Forwards

  1. LeBron James ($11,600) vs. Washington Wizards
  2. Paul George ($9,500) vs. Sacramento Kings
  3. Mario Hezonja ($6,000) vs. New York Knicks
  4. Robert Covington ($5,400) vs. Chicago Bulls

Rationale:

  • Perhaps the most overlooked aspect Paul George has brought to the Oklahoma City Thunder is the impact he makes on the defensive end. The five-time All-Star leads the league with 2.2 steals per game and his 124 total steals is 13 more than any other player in the league. Along with his stellar defense, George is having the best season of his career shooting from beyond the arc, as he is connecting on 43.2 percent of his attempts and his 187 conversions are just 23 shy of setting a new personal best.
  • Mario Hezonja is beginning to tap into the potential the Orlando Magic expected when selecting him with the fifth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. The Magic started Hezonja in each of the past six games, and he has responded by averaging 17.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.7 steals per game. Hezonja closed out the first half of the season with three consecutive 20-point outings — a feat he achieved just four other times in his first 191 career appearances.
