Rationale:

  • The quest for Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry to lead the league in 3-point field goals for the sixth consecutive season will require a massive comeback. Houston Rockets guard James Harden leads the league with 206 made shots from 3-point range at the All-Star break, 28 more than Curry. The two-time MVP was at a disadvantage as an ankle injury forced Curry to miss 11 consecutive games, but he is making 0.4 more shots from beyond the arc per game than Harden, meaning the race is far from over.
  • The return of Brooklyn Nets guard D’Angelo Russell from a knee injury has done little to diminish the impact in FanDuel NBA play of teammate Spencer Dinwiddie. Ever since Russell returned, Dinwiddie has remained steady, posting 14.9 points, 7.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds and just under a steal over the past 14 games. Along with his lofty assist total, Dinwiddie has been remarkably efficient with the ball, as he is the only player qualified among the league leaders averaging at least 6.0 assists and fewer than 2.0 turnovers per game this year.
