Aaron Gordon, PF, Orlando Magic

Before we get too deep into this, there is one thing worth noting. Aaron Gordon is a restricted free agent, meaning any offer has the potential to be matched by the Orlando Magic. Considering this is a dream scenario, though, I don’t think that’s of any significant concern.

Instead, I’m going to focus on the fact that the Cavaliers would love to ink Gordon this offseason. The young, uber-athletic power forward would bring a whole new dynamic to the Cleveland frontcourt, providing them with a slashing stretch-4 who is still just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.

Imagine a lineup featuring LeBron and Gordon. With defenses keying in on the King, Gordon would have countless scoring opportunities. Whether he was cutting to the basket or taking advantage of his improved 3-point skills, the 22-year-old forward would be thriving.

Now there will be some competition for his services this offseason. There are a number of clubs who would love to sign him as their new starting power forward, upgrading their lineups’ explosiveness in the process. If money weren’t an issue, though, I would imagine the Cavaliers being near the top of his wish list.

Gordon may not be leaving the Magic anytime soon. However, if he did in this dream world we’re currently living in, Ohio may very well be his next destination.
