Oladipo has embraced his success and earned himself a much-deserved All-Star selection, likely the first of many. Indiana brass would have to mess up significantly to make him want to leave, but with more player collusion and self-direction than ever, you can never say never.

Playing in Indiana has been good to Dipo, and the final point here is exactly what the Pacers ultimately need to do, not just to keep their star in their small market (albeit a classic basketball culture), but to call the season a success…
