4. Domantas Sabonis continues to grow

Most guys who double their statistical output in almost every category from the previous season usually played a meaningless role the first season. Domantas Sabonis amazingly doubled his stats this year after playing 20 minutes a night over 66 games for the Oklahoma City Thunder last year.

Yeah, he’s a keeper.

The good news is that he is a starter playing as a backup for Thaddeus Young and Myles Turner right now. If he can continue his positive play and coexist with both of those bigs, his versatility will bump his 25.3 minutes per game this season up closer to 30 for next season.

He certainly has the room to grow. He comes from a great NBA stock and has a real motor — intangibles that add something unique to this squad.
