Top 4 Power Forwards

  1. Blake Griffin ($9,100) vs. Atlanta Hawks
  2. Zach Randolph ($6,500) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
  3. Dwight Powell ($6,000) vs. Houston Rockets
  4. Taj Gibson ($5,800) vs. Sacramento Kings

Rationale:

  • The move to the Detroit Pistons hasn’t been seamless for Blake Griffin, as he has struggled to find his shooting touch, but he remains an elite power forward option for FanDuel NBA rosters because of the wide array of contributions he is capable of making. Griffin has shot just 41.1 percent from the field since being acquired by the Pistons — 10 percent below his career average — but he has still managed to average 21 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.2 assists in his five games with Detroit.
  • The Dallas Mavericks may have found a solution to one of the biggest weaknesses on the roster. Dallas ranks 29th in the league in offensive rebounding, collecting just 7.9 of their own misses each night, but the ability of Dwight Powell as an offensive rebounder is promising. In each of the past six games, Powell has posted at least three offensive rebounds. Coming off a 19-point, seven-rebound and two-steal effort, he shot 8-of-12 from the field. The marksmanship is hardly an anomaly, as Powell has shot 66.7 percent from the field or better in 28 of his 55 appearances this year.
