Ish Smith ($5,700)

Ish Smith might actually be the preferred point guard for the Detroit Pistons. If you look at the on/off court numbers, Ish is a net positive at 0.5 and Reggie Jackson is a net negative at -0.5. The team also has a worse plus/minus when Ish is off the court than when Reggie is.

While this debate may be something to consider for the Detroit Pistons, it doesn’t change that Jackson is out tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers. This will make Smith the starting point guard and most likely give him a hefty minute load. In the past six days, his fantasy value has gone up $600. Smith does best when he’s able to shoot a good amount. The last two games he’s played over 30 minutes, he’s averaged 14 shots per game.

With Austin Rivers questionable, Reggie Jackson out and newly acquired point guard Jameer Nelson most likely not ready yet, Smith will definitely be a good value in this game and maybe blow up tonight.
