NBA Trade Rumors: 5 bold predictions before 2018 deadline

The 2018 NBA trade deadline is only a couple of days away and the NBA trade rumors are running rampant as expected. It seems fitting to accompany said rumors with a few bold predictions before the big day.

As we saw last week, a blockbuster trade always seems to be just around the corner. If Blake Griffin can be dealt just before the 2018 NBA trade deadline, who’s to say another superstar couldn’t find himself a new home in the next two days?

The NBA trade rumors have been flying fast and furious seemingly since the start of the 2017-18 season. We’ve seen several big names mentioned as being on the trade block, but it’s anyone’s guess who could actually be sent packing before Thursday’s deadline.

Just look at what happened with the Los Angeles Clippers. Everyone assumed it would be DeAndre Jordan wearing a new jersey by now, but instead it’s Griffin suiting up for the Detroit Pistons.

So it wouldn’t ruffle too many feathers if I predicted Kevin Durant gets moved this season, right? Okay, so I wouldn’t dare go that far. However, there have been some big names mentioned in NBA trade rumors who could theoretically be on the move.

That’s why I’m here — to boldly predict which players find themselves with new NBA homes by Thursday. I mean, isn’t it the speculation that makes the trade deadline so enthralling?

With that in mind, here are my five “bold” predictions for the 2018 NBA trade deadline. Some folks may see a couple of these as fairly feasible, but I can assure you I went out of my way to make sure these predictions were imaginative (to say the least).
