7. Wendell Carter – Duke

Up five spots from No. 12 in November, Wendell Carter looks like a potential future All-Star. In the shadow of Marvin Bagley’s he’s become a bit underappreciated. Despite sharing the ball and boards with Bagley, Carter is still averaging an impressive 14.3 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per game. Carter looks like a far superior passer, shooter and rim protector compared to Bagley.

The question with Carter is without superstar upside, how high can he go? He doesn’t do anything at an elite level, but he’s great in almost every area of the game. His face-up game is underrated and his shooting touch looks legit. Carter has a ways to go to become Al Horford, but you can understand why some people see some similarities. Carter may have the highest floor in this class among the big men.
