8. Michael Porter Jr. – Missouri

Several months after he played all of two minutes in his debut, we’ve still yet to see Michael Porter Jr. on the court. We likely won’t until the NBA Draft Combine, if we even see him then. It says a lot about the top of this draft class that Porter is anywhere outside the top-five. This isn’t a knock on his game. If fully healthy, he’d be higher up, but the reality is we don’t know how bad the injury is.

Until then, and as other prospects have stepped up, he’s in that 5-10 range. Porter has the potential to lead the league in scoring one day with an offensive game slightly similar to Kevin Durant’s. That’s mostly in the sense that he’s a 6’10” shooting guard. Also an incredible athlete, you hope that translates a bit on defense. For now we’re just waiting on his bill of health. Here’s hoping he comes back with a bang.
