2018 NBA Draft big board: End of January
By Max Holm
14. Troy Brown – Oregon
Troy Brown is the freshman most under the radar right now. The McDonald’s All-American is having a great all-around season for Oregon. Though he lacks elite athleticism and upside, his floor is really high. Brown is a rare point forward who defends the hell out of his position, can push in transition and rebound really well.
The key for Brown, especially with his upside, comes down to his jumper. He’s so far just 20-for-68 from 3, coming out to 29.4 percent. There’s a little bit of optimism with him shooting almost 79 percent from the foul line. The jump shot is worth gambling on because of everything else he does well. The guy is just a pure basketball player, always making the right decisions. A team with a shooting big man should think about drafting Brown.
