2018 NBA Draft big board: End of January
By Max Holm
25. Rawle Alkins – Arizona
Rawle Alkins is the heart and soul of Arizona basketball. The sophomore wing from Brooklyn is having a great year scoring the ball more and is showing his jump shot is for real. Shooting 36.5 percent from 3 on over 150 attempts is encouraging. He’s a fiery player and solid defender, who can impact a game in so many ways when the shot is falling. The only problem might be his health.
While nothing as serious as some prospects in the past, Alkins has played in just 10 games this year dealing with foot soreness. Having missed part of the season due to a broken foot last year, he’s done well when he’s played. NBA teams may opt to not invest a first round pick in him because of this, especially if soreness is lingering. Still, between his jumper, athleticism and toughness, he’s a first round caliber prospect.
