The Washington Wizards’ five-game road trip came to end on Saturday night, going worse than expected. Here’s an assessment of how they performed.

The Washington Wizards are coming off a five-game road trip and return home on Tuesday night when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder, a team they played last Thursday. The Wizards lost that meeting 121-112, leaving fans once again scratching their heads as to how good they can really be.

The Wizards went 2-3 on their final five-game road trip of the 2017-18 season. They finished in a similar fashion at 2-3 on their other five-game road trip of the season. Their biggest problem continues to be their ability to play down to the talent they face.

Overall, Washington finished with an offensive rating of 110.7 and a defensive rating of 113.3, producing a net rating of -2.6. In the three losses, their net rating was -16.6 while in their two victories, their net rating was 18.8.

The Wizards are 27-22 on the season, fifth in the Eastern Conference and 7.5 games behind the Boston Celtics for the top spot. January has been one of those “middle-of-the-pack” months for Washington, as it’s gone 6-6. The Wizards continue to search for their identity, but to be honest, they’re not too far from it.

Here we grade the offense, defense, the bench and the overall team after the final five-game road trip of the season.
