2017-18 NBA Rookie of the Year ladder: Week 16 power rankings
7. Milos Teodosic, Los Angeles Clippers
Last week: 9th (↑2)
31-year-old Los Angeles Clippers rookie Milos Teodosic continues to assert himself as he adjusts to the NBA. Teodosic has stepped up well in place of the injured Austin Rivers to give the Clippers a much-needed boost.
Los Angeles went 2-2 last week to put their overall record at 25-24. As the ninth-best in the Western Conference, they’ve still got work to do, but it could be worse for them considering the departure of Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets.
Teodosic put up a career-high 18 points along with four assists and a rebound in a 109-100 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. He was 7-of-15 (46.7 percent) from the field in that game.
Teodosic is producing at an efficient rate. He’s averaging 11.8 points, 5.5 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game in the last four contests. His shooting has improved with each game, as he’s shooting 33.3 percent from 3-point range.
Experience from Europe has carried Teodosic this far. He’s adjusting quite nicely to the NBA as he finds a spot for himself in the Clippers’ rotation.
