2. Trade value update

During the road trip, some Knicks rumors begun heating up. It is no secret that the Knicks have a logjam at the center position. Right now they have four centers on the roster in Enes Kanter, Kyle O’Quinn, Willy Hernangomez and Joakim Noah.

Knicks fans would love to see Noah traded, but that is extremely unlikely given his contract. The only player that may be more untradeable than Noah at this point is Luol Deng with the Lakers. However, there is plenty of interest being drummed up in the other centers.

Coincidentally, two teams the Knicks faced on this road trip expressed interest in one of their centers. The Warriors have shown interest in O’Quinn, while the Jazz have expressed interest in Hernangomez.

Oddly enough, neither player got to play against the team that is rumored to be interested in trading for them. O’Quinn missed the game against the Warriors with a calf injury, while Hernangomez is on the outside looking in on the rotation and didn’t play against the Jazz.

Despite not seeing either player on the court, it makes sense why both are garnering interest. O’Quinn is extremely productive given his minutes as a reserve, and Hernangomez showed a ton of promise as a rookie.

There has even been chatter about Kanter. All three would be solid additions to other teams, and this road trip didn’t do anything but cement that fact. O’Quinn produced when healthy and Kanter is a walking double-double. Hernangomez didn’t receive many opportunities, but when he is on the court you can see the potential.
