The New York Knicks just wrapped up their seven-game road trip. Check out our takeaways from the lengthy trip.
The New York Knicks‘ longest road trip since January of 1989 has finally come to an end. The Knicks wrapped up their seven-game road trip on Friday night with a victory over the Phoenix Suns.
The Knicks finished the road trip 3-4, as their record now sits at 22-28 on the season. While a losing road trip isn’t always encouraging, the Knicks can take away some positives from this one.
Given the length of the road trip, the Knicks faced plenty of challenges. Atop that list is their struggles on the road.
For a team that has played as poorly on the road this season as the Knicks, going 3-4 isn’t horrible. The Knicks entered the road trip with only four victories away from Madison Square Garden. Doubling that number would have been nice, but ending the road trip on a positive note is encouraging.

Injuries also played a role. Some fans will ask what could have been had New York been healthy throughout the trip. Tim Hardaway Jr., Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle O’Quinn all missed time during the trip because of different ailments.
Had the Knicks had all of their roster healthy, could they have won more games? Sure, they could have. However, that is in the past, so there is nothing they can do now. They will just have to continue moving forward as they have surpassed the midway point of the season.
