3. Jerry Stackhouse

If the Bucks are on the search for another up-and-coming head coach to match the current state of the organization, Jerry Stackhouse could be someone Milwaukee takes a good, long look at.

After spending an 18-year career in the NBA, one of which was in Milwaukee, Stackhouse has spent nearly the last three years coaching. After serving as an assistant coach with the Toronto Raptors in 2015, he was named the head coach of Toronto’s G League team, the Raptors 905, in 2016.

The G League is where Stackhouse has created a name for himself. Not just because of his time as a player, but as his abilities as a coach.

In Stackhouse’s first year with the Raptors 905, he led them to a league-best 39-11 record, while also going on to capture the league championship that season. Stackhouse, in return, was named the 2016-17 Coach of the Year.

In an interview with The Ringer on March 2017, Stackhouse said his eyes are on reaching the NBA to become a head coach. With how things have gone for him in less than two years in the G League, he could be getting that chance sooner rather than later.
