With reports of the Milwaukee Bucks firing head coach Jason Kidd, here are five potential candidates that could take over at the helm of the Bucks.
After a little over three and half seasons, Jason Kidd is done in Milwaukee.
According to ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, the former NBA All-Star and head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks was fired Monday afternoon prior to the team’s game against the Phoenix Suns in Milwaukee.
That report was backed up later on Monday evening, as the team officially announced the firing of Kidd on their Twitter page.
The decision to fire Kidd comes as a bit of a shock around the NBA. Not that the firing occurred, but for the timing of it.
The Bucks entered Monday night’s game against Phoenix at 23-22 overall, sitting in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings. But Milwaukee has been slipping as of late, falling in nine of its last 15 games.
Wojnarowski reported that the Kidd firing was due to “dropping into the eighth seed in the East, frayed relationships in organization and general non-alignment.”
In 3.5 seasons with Milwaukee, Kidd led the Bucks to a record of 139-152 (.478 win percentage), while reaching the playoffs in two of those seasons.
But now, Milwaukee is on the search for a new head coach once again. Let’s take a look at who could potentially replace Kidd at the helm of the Bucks.
