10. John Collins, Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta Hawks rookie John Collins was a surprise pick in the 2017 NBA Draft as the 19th overall selection. However, he’s shown why he was so coveted with his play this season. The big man out of Wake Forest University has solidified himself, for now, as their best option off the bench this season.

While he does have four starts through 39 appearances, Collins has proved himself time and time again as Atlanta’s energy guy in the rotation. He’s currently averaging 10.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks per game in his rookie campaign. His athleticism has proven to be his biggest asset considering if you don’t block him out or find him in space, he’s liable to dunk on you.

Collins is fourth among rookies in rebounds per game and tied for first in blocks per game with Golden State Warriors rookie Jordan Bell. He hasn’t quite found his shooting touch, but with guys like Kent Bazemore and Dennis Schroder around, it’s not needed right now.
