1. He’s peaking at the right time

Bradley Beal is having quite the season despite the Washington Wizards’ 26-20 record. He’s averaging career highs in scoring (23.8 points per game), rebounds (4.3 per game) and assists (3.5 per game).

In just his fifth season in the NBA, Beal is fifth in the league in field goals made this season (398) and 14th in 3-point field goals made (110). In terms of total points, Beal is seventh in the league overall with 1,093 points.

Back on Nov. 20 against the Milwaukee Bucks, Beal became the youngest player in NBA history to make 700 3-pointers. He made two 3-pointers in the contest as the Wizards won 99-88.

Due to his 3-point shooting prowess, Beal also has six 30-point games, a 40-point game and a 51-point game under his belt this season. He may be shooting just 36.2 percent from 3-point range this year, but it speaks to the responsibility he’s taken on as the Wizards’ primary scorer.
