3. Beal is the Wizards’ best weapon on offense

Bradley Beal has produced positive results on the floor for the Washington Wizards this season. He’s generating an offensive rating of 108.1 with a defensive rating of 104.2. That’s a positive net rating of +3.9.

He’s had a bit of a slow start to the month of January as Washington is just 5-4, but the team is still looking to find its identity during a pivotal road trip. He still finished with 26 points in the Wizards’ 122-112 comeback victory over the Detroit Pistons last Friday night. He was an efficient 7-of-12 from the field and 4-for-7 from 3-point land.

Beal is the Washington Wizards’ leading scoring this year at 23.8 points per game. It’s not neck-and-neck like it was last season. Although Beal’s field goal shooting percentage is down a bit at 46.2 percent, he’s still found a way to score when Washington needs him to.

He scored a career-high 51 points on 21-of-37 shooting back on Dec. 5 in a 106-92 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. The Wizards were also without John Wall in the contest, speaking to the value Beal has an All-Star caliber player.
