The Washington Wizards are 26-20, fifth in the East and much of that has to do with the production of Bradley Beal this season.

The All-Star starters were named for both the East and West squads last Friday. Now that the dust has settled, let the debates begin. Here’s to lobbying for Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal making the All-Star team as a reserve for the East.

When it comes to the All-Star voting results, Bradley Beal finished sixth in the Eastern Conference among guards. Beal finished ninth in voting among fans, fourth among media members and fifth among players.

Considering Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics and Demar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors were named starters, it’s predictable to see an odd man out in this year’s scenario. Raptors point man Kyle Lowry has played well this season and has three All-Star appearances under his belt already.

Lowry is averaging 17.0 points, 6.7 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game for the Raptors this year. They have a 31-14 record in the East, ranking them second in the conference.

Then there’s Washington Wizards point guard John Wall, who has four All-Star appearances to his credit. Wall is averaging 19.5 points, 9.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game this season. He’s handed the keys over to Beal on offense and it’s showed as the Wizards rank ninth in points per game (107.9) this season.

With that being said, here’s a look at three reasons Bradley Beal deserves to make the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.
