Big Three dominates
The Thunder had big plans when they acquired Paul George and Carmelo Anthony to play alongside Russell Westbrook. Things have been tough at times, but when the Thunder are on like they were against the Cavaliers, they are dominant.
The Thunder Big Three had a monster game against Cleveland. Westbrook, George and Anthony were unstoppable. In the first half, the trio scored or assisted on 66 of the 76 points scored by Oklahoma City.
George led the way with 36 points scored. He was 12-of-19 in the game, knocking down 5-of-11 from deep and 7-of-8 from the foul line. George also had seven rebounds and two assists. Anthony also attempted 19 shots, making 11 of his attempts, including half of his six 3-point attempts. He was 4-for-4 from the foul line with 29 points, 10 rebounds and three assists.
Westbrook had a monster game. He scored 23 points with 20 assists, nine rebounds and two steals. He made easy work of Isaiah Thomas whenever they were matched up, taking him to the post.
When your go-to players are performing like those three did, it will be difficult to lose games.
