Vintage figures from Charlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard have made him a top commodity in FanDuel NBA league play.

As Dwight Howard closes on his 1,000th career game, he has elevated his status to an elite center option for FanDuel NBA rosters.

Over the past seven games, Howard has submitted figures that resemble his statistical lines from when he was a perennial All-Star. Since the calendar has flipped to 2018, Howard has posted averages of 15.4 points, 13.1 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.

With 15 or more rebounds in each of his last three games, Howard has increased his average to 12.4 per game — the fourth-highest average in the league — raising his cost for a roster spot in FanDuel NBA leagues to $9,100 Saturday night, his second-highest cost of the year.

Even the primary weakness in his game hasn’t been able to slow down Howard. Following a skirmish between Michael Carter-Williams and Tim Frazier, Howard was chosen by Washington Wizards coach Scott Brooks to shoot a pair of free throws.

After he converted both foul shots, Howard taunted Brooks by blowing a kiss to him and then celebrated with a signature dance once he returned to the bench.

The pair of free throws helped cap an 18-point, 15-rebound, two-assist, two-steal and two-block effort, marking the first time all season he has registered two blocks and two steals in the same game.

Howard faces the Miami Heat Saturday night, a team he has dominated throughout his career. In 44 appearances against Miami, Howard has registered 16.8 points, 13 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. Any FanDuel NBA lineup could benefit from those figures.
