2. Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons are a dark horse trade partner that could surprise everyone and pull off a deal sending valuable assets to the Chicago Bulls.

The Pistons could make a run for the services of Nikola Mirotic, especially as they really don’t have a proper starting power forward currently rostered. If they do, they will have to be cognizant of their salary cap situation while making the deal sweet enough for GM Gar Forman to go for it.

One possible package would be giving the once promising third-year small forward Stanley Johnson a fresh start in the Windy City. Although he struggled mightily before combating his current hip injury, he would be a nice prospect.

To make the numbers work, the Pistons would need to include someone like Boban Marjanovic or Jon Leuer. Although the Bulls aren’t likely to take Leuer’s contract on, if they can get the super productive center Boban Marjanovic thrown in, they would be wise to jump at the deal.
