While the Chicago Bulls continue to hear offers for power forward Nikola Mirotic, he continues to impress and build his trade value.

Anytime a rebuilding team like the Chicago Bulls goes up against a historic dynasty like the current Golden State Warriors, they should probably be happy enough to not get blown out.  However, not only did they find a way to hang in, they had some pretty awesome moments, including Lauri Markkanen’s meme-worthy stuff of Stephen Curry’s cavalier attempt to school him.

One of the biggest takeaways from the tilt, however, is the fact that Nikola Mirotic was one of the only Chicago Bull players to be highly effective against the elite talented opponents, ending with a +25 plus/minus as he racked up 24 points, six rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block on 9-of-13 shooting from the field.

This is attention-drawing because it flashes his trade value to not only rebuilders or middle-of-the-pack teams, but to elite teams looking to add another lethal scoring weapon to their arsenal.

One of the holes the Chicago Bulls may look to fill if they flip Nikola Mirotic before the deadline could be their rebounding. While Robin Lopez is a nice player, it’s clear he isn’t the center of the future, and although Lauri Markkanen is a stud, he isn’t going to be an elite rebounder. The good news is there are a lot of plausible ways to get boards in a deal sending out Mirotic.

Let’s take a look at some of the trades that can feasibly happen at the deadline and how those deals can help both teams involved..
