The underperformers and overachievers makes its return with a fresh new analysis of teams and players across the NBA in Week 14.

As NBA teams approach the halfway point in their schedules, some players are beginning to find their rhythm on the court. The All-Star Break is quickly approaching next month, as voting has officially ended and starters for both squads will be announced Thursday night.

While the usual suspects like Stephen Curry and LeBron James are this year’s leading vote-getters, other players are turning heads as well, for better or worse. Take Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker, for example. Booker ranked 10th in fan voting (162,970) among guards in the Western Conference. He’s done his fair share of work this season as the Suns’ best player on offense.

Or, there are teams like the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls have won 14 of their last 22 games. Their recent loss to the Golden State Warriors, 119-112, snapped a three-game winning streak, giving them a record of 17-28. They’re young and without former All-Star Jimmy Butler, but they’re making strides with rookie Lauri Markkanen leading the way.

The NBA season has given fans their fair share of topics to dwell upon, that’s for sure. The Cleveland Cavaliers are slumping, San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard is out indefinitely with a quad injury and the Los Angeles Clippers have won six games in a row in the rugged West. So far, it’s been a quiet season trade-wise, but all that could change soon. Here’s a look at this week’s overachievers and underpeformers in Week 14.
