Troy Brown

Troy Brown is a 6’7″, 210-pound shooting guard playing at the University of Oregon. He is a freshman and is averaging 11.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season. He needs to improve his jump shot as he is only shooting 31.7 percent from 3.

He has plenty of guard skills but has the size to play small forward. He can handle the ball, score, create offense for others, rebound and play solid defense. Brown is a do-it-all wing player who is a stat sheet filler.

His height would be a nice addition to the Blazers. As he gets older and gets around pro coaches, his shot will improve enough to be a threat from 3.

Brown would be able to play with the starters in an off-ball role to space the floor. He could run the pick-and-roll as the ball-handler and have Dame or C.J set a screen for him, or he could run the offense in the second unit if Portland wants him to come off the bench.

Troy Brown could step into the Evan Turner role, but for much cheaper. He gives the Blazers another playmaker to take pressure off Lillard and McCollum.
