Top 4 Small Forwards

  1. Kevin Durant ($10,600) vs. Golden State Warriors
  2. Paul George ($8,300) vs. Los Angeles Lakers
  3. Otto Porter Jr. ($6,600) vs. Charlotte Hornets
  4. DeMarre Carroll ($5,000) vs. San Antonio Spurs

Rationale:

  • A right calf strain kept Kevin Durant out of the lineup for three consecutive games, but ever since he has returned, opponents haven’t found a way to slow him down. Over the past four games, Durant is posting 30.8 points on 62.5 percent shooting from the field to go along with 5.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. Even when defenders force him away from the rim, Durant has found a way to punish them, converting 60 percent of his 3-point attempts, knocking down 15 attempts in the four-game span.
  • The Washington Wizards have been giving small forward Otto Porter Jr. a major piece of their rotation. Porter has spent 30 or more minutes in each of the last four games, and in 29 of his 40 appearances this year. During his extended minutes, Porter has thrived as a defender, stealing the ball at least once in each of the last 12 games. Porter is on pace for over 100 steals for the third straight season, joining John Wall, Gilbert Arenas, Greg Ballard, Phil Chenier, Caron Butler and John Williams as the only players in franchise history to achieve the feat.
