Top 4 Shooting Guards

  1. DeMar DeRozan ($9,100) vs. Detroit Pistons
  2. Lou Williams ($8,900) vs. Denver Nuggets
  3. Nicolas Batum ($5,600) vs. Washington Wizards
  4. Avery Bradley ($5,400) vs. Toronto Raptors

Rationale:

  • As one of eight players averaging over 25.0 points per game, Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan has added efficiency to his game this year. DeRozan is shooting 48.1 percent from the field, an increase of 1.4 percent from a year ago and 3.2 percent above his career average. While DeRozan isn’t a threat on the perimeter, as he has made just 48 shots from beyond the arc and has connected on 35.6 percent of his attempts, he has flourished as a mid-range shooter. DeRozan has knocked down 46.2 percent of his attempts between 10-16 feet away from the basket and his 98 made field goals is his highest amount of the five major shot distance zones.
  • If Nicolas Batum can snap out of his shooting funk, he will be an excellent option for FanDuel NBA leagues. In each of his last two games, Batum has shot just 4-of-13 from the field, but Monday in Detroit, he showcased his well-rounded game. Batum added eight rebounds, five assists and two steals to his 14-point effort. His outing resulted in 33.1 fantasy points in FanDuel NBA tournament play, the highest total he has compiled in 10 games. It has been five games since Batum has converted 50 percent of his attempts from the field, so if he can find his shooting touch Wednesday night, he could be in line for a big night.
