During a matinee performance at Madison Square Garden, New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis submitted an epic FanDuel NBA fantasy basketball performance.

Any FanDuel NBA lineup featuring New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis was in prime position to win. The four-time All-Star didn’t set any career-highs during a 123-118 double overtime victory Sunday afternoon, but managed to dominate in every statistical category.

By the time the game was finally over, Davis posted 48 points on 17-of-30 shooting from the field, 17 rebounds, four steals and three blocks. The result was 85.4 fantasy points in FanDuel NBA tournament play, marking his highest output this season.

As the third quarter was winding down, Davis launched a shot from 85 feet away that somehow found the bottom of the net.

The 3-pointer was his second of the game, marking the fifth time this year he has connected multiple times from 3-point range. In each of those five games, Davis has scored 30 or more points and the Pelicans won four times.

Sunday, New Orleans managed to erase a 19-point deficit as Davis continued to lead the way, tying the game with 3.5 seconds left in regulation with a layup.

Once overtime began, Davis was nearly impossible to defend, shaking Kristaps Porzingis —  the NBA’s leading shot blocker — along the baseline for a turnaround jumper.

Davis then sealed the game with a 15-foot jumper, giving the Pelicans a lead it would never relinquish.

FanDuel NBA lineups should build around Davis, as he has scored 30 or more points in each of his last three appearances, averaging 38 points on 67.2 percent shooting from the field to go along with 12 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.

The New York Knicks couldn’t find a way to slow him down Sunday, an issue the rest of the league will have to resolve.
