Boston Celtics: Where does the win streak end?
The Boston Celtics’ largest win streak was 16 games, set back in November. The team is currently riding a seven-game winning streak, but how much longer can it go?
No one believed that the Boston Celtics would ever go on a 16-game wining streak after losing star player Gordon Hayward. Yet, they defied all odds and continued to win games night in and night out.
Right now, the Celtics are riding a seven-game winning streak, but how much longer can it continue?
The good news is that the Celtics’ upcoming schedule isn’t that scary. The rest of the month of January shouldn’t be anything to be too concerned about. However — and it’s a big however — Boston will have to face the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena. That game falls Jan. 27.
Overlooking the idea that Boston can get past the Warriors, the rest of the way should be fairly simple. The Celtics have a great shot at winning the next 10 games.

Sure, the New Orleans Pelicans, Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets are possible challenges, but the Celtics are a better team who should be able to win. As long as Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins don’t control the game, then the Celtics should be in the clear. The Pelicans are sixth in the Western Conference after being in that eight/ninth spot the better part of the season.

Denver has struggled lately, but has been without its key signing over the offseason in Paul Millsap. Even Nikola Jokic has been out of the lineup at times. Even with all those injuries, they’re still sitting at an impressive 22-21 record.
You never know what team you’re getting when you play the 76ers. You either get a team that looks impossible to stop, or you get a team that looks like they’re completely lost. They did just take down the Toronto Raptors the other night, which could start some momentum moving forward.
Luckily, the Celtics are very good when they play against the Warriors. They’ve played once this season, and Boston got the better end of the stick. In fact, they shut down arguably the best offense in the league, and held them to just 88 points. That’s an incredibly hard feat to do when you think about all the star power they have in Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
Where things become difficult is the beginning of February. The Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers are not easy teams. All four of those teams are playoff teams who certainly will not be easy tasks.

The Celtics have a great chance to win out till the beginning of February if they are able to surpass the great Warriors. If they do so, the C’s could end up beating their already impressive 16-game win streak.
