Post scoring and finishing at the rim

He is not just a stretch-big that can shoot. Collins is a big man with skill in the post. He can score with multiple moves and has good feet and has no issue finishing in traffic. According to Cleaning the Glass, Collins is making 68 percent of his shots at the rim this season.

He is a reliable screen setter in the pick-and-roll and has the tools to be an efficient scorer while rolling to the hoop.

The Blazers added Jusuf Nurkic last season, and he has been the only player Portland can call plays for in the post. Now, Collins can be a guy they go to down in the paint to get a basket. He can either use a hook shot,  spin move, up and under or a jumper to score.

Here he takes advantage of a mismatch with the Lakers Corey Brewer. Collins uses a nice fake and finshes strong with a hook.

He stays calm and knows how to get to his shot.

Collins is an offensive weapon with his ability to score and shoot from all over the court. Defenses will have to pay close attention to Collins when he is playing.

Also, because he is playing with guys like Lillard, McCollum and Nurkic, it is going to make the game easier for him when defenses are worried about those guys.

Collins can play center and handle the post. That allows the Blazers to play another shooter at the power forward spot. So if the Blazers decided they want to spread the floor, they have five guys on the court that can shoot the ball.
