Rodney Hood
Rodney Hood has been a very solid player throughout the first half of play with the Jazz this season. In 41 games, Hood is averaging a career-best 16.5 points, along with 2.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and just under one steal in 28.4 minutes per game.

So why would Utah look to trade a player like Hood who is second on the team in scoring and is just 25 years old?
Well, aside from the two factors I just pointed out that would make him a valuable asset to basically any team in the league, the biggest reason why the Jazz might look to field offers for Hood around the trade deadline stems from the stellar play of rookie Donovan Mitchell so far this year and the logjam Utah is now dealing with at the 2-guard position.
That and the fact that Hood will likely be looking for a decent payday following this season, his final year of his contract could persuade Utah to deal the fourth-year guard.
Hood could be a nice piece on a contender during the second half of the season and throughout the postseason, as he has come off the bench for basically the whole season and is a player that can take over a game anywhere on the floor.

His current contract could also be very appealing to teams, as he is making just under $2.5 million this season.
